International collaboration

        A group of scientists from the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences—Jia Xiaochen, Li Kuikui, Li Tang, and Xie Hongguo—officially visited the Institute of Polymer Chemistry and Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan from April 7 to 11 this year to strengthen scientific ties and exchange experiences. The director of the institute, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor A. A. Atakhanov, received the guests and exchanged views on the visit plan.

During the visit, it is also planned to get acquainted with the promising scientific research being conducted at the Institute and to exchange skills. In this regard, a presentation was made at the scientific seminar organized on the laboratories and research being conducted at the Institute, including bioactive, environmentally friendly preparations based on natural polymers. Additionally, lectures by Chinese professors Jia Xiaochen, Li Tang, and Xie Hongguo on the study of agropreparations based on oligo- and nanopolysaccharides and their derivatives, as well as their mechanisms of action, were presented at the State Institute of Food Science and Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Foreign scientists became acquainted with the work being conducted at the Institute and exchanged views, and young scientists actively participated in the discussions.

A Memorandum of Scientific Cooperation was signed by the Director of the Institute, Professor A.A. Atakhanov, and the Director of the Department of Science and Technology of the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Professor Yu Xiao.
