Research areas of the Institute: - fundamental and applied research of natural and synthetic polymers, nanocomposite materials; - synthesis and study of biologically active synthetic and natural polymers and their derivatives and creation on their basis of highly effective technologies and preparations for medicine, veterinary science and agriculture; - research of the kinetics and mechanism of chemical modification of polymers; - conducting in-depth research in the field of nanocomposite polymer materials in the interests of meeting the needs of various sectors of the economy and the national economy of Uzbekistan. - creation of alternative third-generation energy sources on a polymer basis; - development of new and improvement of existing technologies for the synthesis and processing of synthetic and natural polymers, including nanopolymers.
Interpolielektrolit komplekslar va metallopolimerlar laboratoriyasi
The Laboratory of Interpolyelectrolyte Complexes and Metallopolymers was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-4805, Appendix 5, Clause 43 of 2020. Scientific work is carried out in two directions in the laboratory. - study of the fundamental and thermodynamic principles of obtaining interpolyelectrolyte complexes, chelates, in particular, nanostructured polymer-metal systems, and determination of the “synthesis-structure-property” relationship.
Based on these studies, the creation of non-toxic, biodegradable bioactive drugs for various purposes; - study of the preparation, properties and use of binary and multicomponent interpolyelectrolyte complexes based on polysaccharides and polyampholytes, in particular, the synthesis, structure and properties of interpolyelectrolyte complexes based on chitosan Bombyx mori and polyanions; - isolation of polymers from new sources, industrial waste and synthesis of their derivatives.
