New Publication in Electrochimica Acta (Q1, IF: 5.6)
e are happy to announce a successful international collaboration between our researchers Prof. A. Ataxanov, N.Sh. Ashurov and Prof. Huseyin B Yildiz from KTO Karatay University (Türkiye), and our local experts Prof. Aziz Ibragimov and Dr. Jamoliddin Razzokov. Our joint paper, published in the prestigious journal Electrochimica Acta, introduces a breakthrough in sustainable energy conversion: Biodegradable graphene-starch nanofiber photoanodes for bio-hydrogen production.
Key Findings of the Research:
• Innovative Material: We developed electrospun graphene–starch nanofibers as conductive platforms for biophotovoltaic (BPV) systems.
• High Efficiency: The optimized architecture significantly improved charge transport, achieving a maximum power density of 62 mW m⁻² and hydrogen production of 274 µmol L⁻¹.
• Sustainable Energy: By incorporating Paulschulzia pseudovolvox green algae, the system enables mediator-free photocurrent generation driven by visible light.
• Green Tech: These findings establish biodegradable conductive composites as a promising, eco-friendly platform for next-generation bioelectrochemical hydrogen production.
This work highlights the power of international scientific cooperation in solving global challenges related to sustainable energy.
Congratulations to the entire team! https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0013468626007772
