International Cooperation

As part of the Uzbekistan–Turkey applied project AL-7523011028, titled “Development of highly efficient sandwich-structured thermoplastic polymer composites in bulk and microcellular form for electromagnetic interference shielding applications”, currently being implemented at the Institute of Polymer Chemistry and Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Turkish project leader Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hülya KAFTELEN ODABAŞI and project executor Dr. Assist. Prof. Akın ODABAŞI (Firat University) visited the institute.

The director of the institute, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor A. A. Atakhanov, welcomed the guests and exchanged views regarding the visit agenda.

As part of the visit, the agenda also included familiarization with the institute’s ongoing promising scientific research and an exchange of professional experience. In connection with this, a scientific seminar was organized, during which Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hülya KAFTELEN ODABAŞI gave a presentation on the scientific research being conducted at Firat University, as well as on the studies carried out within the framework of the Uzbekistan–Turkey applied project.

The foreign scientists familiarized themselves with the work being carried out at the institute and exchanged ideas. Young researchers actively participated in the discussions.

At the conclusion of the visit, the institute director, Professor A. A. Atakhanov, and the scientists from Firat University held discussions regarding future scientific cooperation.
